1st Sgt. Anthony A. Fowler hails from Pittsburgh, PA. He enlisted in the Army in June of 2003 out of Pittsburgh, PA. He completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, Georgia to become a 25F – Network Switching Systems Operator-Maintainer. He reclassed to 25B – Information Systems Analyst in 2008.
1SG Fowler’s assignments include HHC 18th MEDCOM, Yongsan Garrison, Korea, Charlie Company, 277th Aviation Support Battalion, Fort Drum, NY, HQ/A 442nd Signal Battalion, Fort Gordon, GA, 201st Signal Company, 41st Signal Battalion, Yongsan Garrison, Korea, 2nd NATO Signal Battalion, Naples, Italy, HHC 16th Combat Aviation Brigade, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA, Bravo Company, 401st Cyber Training Battalion, Fort Gordon, GA, 2nd Platoon (WOLFPACK), Alpha Company, United States Army Drill Sergeant Academy. 1SG Fowler has deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 2006-2007 and Operation Iraqi Freedom 2008-2009.

Fowler’s duty positions include: Senior Transmission System Operator/Maintainer, Command Post Node (CPN) Team Chief, Senior Information Tech Specialist, Information Systems Supervisor, LAN/WAN Section Head, Communications Systems Section Head, Signal Support Systems Chief, Information Technology Supervisor, Instructor/Writer, and Drill Sergeant, Drill Sergeant Leader, and First Sergeant.

Fowler’s military education includes: Master Leader Course (Distinguished Honor Graduate), Master Resilience Trainer Course, Drill Sergeant School, COMSEC Account Manager Course, NATO Senior NCO Course, Master Fitness Trainer Course, Joint C4 Planners Course, Senior Leaders Course, Equal Opportunity Leader Course, Army Basic Instructor Course, Advanced Leader Course, and Basic Leader Course. 1SG Fowler has a Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurship from Ashford University, a Masters of Education in Higher Education: Instructional Design and Technology from Liberty University and is working toward an Education Specialist post graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
