Purpose 

Prepares Signal and Cyber Officers to participate as Signal and Cyber Staff officers at division and below. This course focuses on warfighting and readiness for the fielded force by building Readiness and providing Competent, Committed Leaders of Character, better prepared to foster positive command climates, generate readiness, win in Unified Land Operations and lead change within their formations. Commanders will be better prepared to employ their branch specific Warfighting function in LSCO while generating readiness through training and sustainment.

Course Scope

Facilitates discussions to be applied as a part of the planning process as a Signal and Cyber Staff officer at home station and the deployed operational environment. Discussions include: Mission Command, Developing Leaders, Large Scale Combat Operations, Generating Readiness - Training, Generating Readiness - Sustaining. Problem solving scenarios employing Large Scale Combat Operations (LSCO) techniques, tactics, and procedures are applied as a Staff officer for: Operations to Shape, Operations to Prevent Conflict, Operations to Prevail - Offense, Operations to prevail - Defense, and Operations to Consolidate gains, which will require critical thinking abilities as a commander.

Pre-requisites

Any Commissioned Officer selected to a Colonel or Lieutenant Colonel (O5-O6) Centralized Command List (CSL) command or key billet for Cyber, Signal, or Information Operations.

Course Structure

  • PCC training is five days and is designed to help senior leaders prepare for Command Select List positions. This course is structured in modules and lessons.
  • The training is designed to follow the Pre-Command Course taught at Fort Leavenworth with branch specific technical information to enable senior leaders to support Large Scale Ground Combat Operations.
