Purpose
The Data for Leaders course is designed to equip military leaders with essential data literacy skills, enabling them to make informed decisions based on data analysis and interpretation. By fostering an understanding of data-driven methodologies, this course empowers leaders to leverage data effectively in operational planning, resource allocation, and strategic initiatives, ultimately enhancing mission success and organizational effectiveness
Course Scope
The Data for Leaders course provides a targeted overview of essential data concepts and practices. It covers key modules including Data Literacy, Data Governance, Database Fundamentals, and Understanding the Power of Data. Participants will also explore Cloud Fundamentals, Zero Trust Fundamentals, techniques for Telling a Story with Data, and the creation of Dashboards. This comprehensive scope equips leaders with the skills necessary to effectively manage, interpret, and leverage data to enhance decision-making and drive mission success.
Prerequisites
This course is for all COMPOs (Active Army, National Guard, and Army Reserve). Any Signal Officer 25A, 26A, or 26B between the ranks of O1-O9 may attend this course. Any Signal NCO 25B, 25D, 25E, 25H, 25S, 25U or 25Z between the ranks of E5-E9 may attend this course. Any Signal Warrant Officer 255A, 255N, or 255S between the ranks of WO1-CW5 may attend this course. Any Army civilian GS/GG 11-14 may attend this course.
