He attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson SC and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, Georgia, where he was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty 25U; Signal Support Specialist. Command Sgt. Maj. Barrett holds an Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Northern Virginia Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Excelsior. Command Sgt. Maj.
