Mr. Williams currently serves as the Deputy Commandant, Signal School, United States Army Cyber Center of Excellence and Fort Gordon, GA. Mr. Williams earned a commission in 1984 through ROTC from South Carolina State University, Orangeburg, SC. He served as an active duty U.S. Army Signal Corps Officer for 26 years. Some of his assignments include Battalion Signal Officer Fort Hood, Texas; Military Intelligence Battalion Signal Officer Korea; Brigade Signal Officer Fort Carson, Colorado; Instructor Fort Gordon; Communications Officer Special Operations Command Joint Forces Command Norfolk, Virginia; and Battalion Commander Fort Gordon. In 2009, he concluded his military career as an Army Colonel serving as the Chief, Concepts Requirements and Doctrine Division, Fort Gordon. Mr. Williams became a Department of the Army Civilian in August of 2009 and served as the Deputy Chief for Army Requirements and Integration for the Capabilities Development Integration Directorate Fort Gordon. In 2015 he was selected as the Deputy Commandant, U.S. Army Signal School overseeing the development and execution of Army Officer, Warrant Officer and Enlisted training and education. Mr. Williams holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing and a Masters Degree in National Strategic Studies from the Air University Air War College, Maxwell Air Force Base.
