CW5 Matthias Ingle

Chief Warrant Officer of the Branch

CW5 Matthias J. Ingle, Sr. is the 5th Chief Warrant Officer of the Branch (CWOB) for the U.S. Army Cyber School headquartered at Fort Gordon, Georgia.  A native of Muncie, Indiana, he enlisted in the United States Army in January of 1999 and attended Basic Training at Fort Benning, Georgia, followed by Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Gordon, Georgia.  He was appointed as an Army warrant officer in May of 2008 and has served in a variety of roles in both staff and technical positions.

CW5 Ingle’s most recent assignment was the Senior Technical Advisor to the Principal Cyber Advisor to the Secretary and Chief of Staff of the Army, Headquarters, Department of the Army, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.  His previous assignments include Battalion Senior Warrant Officer/Technical Advisor to the Commander, 2nd Battalion, US Army Cyber Protection Brigade (CPB), Fort Gordon, Georgia.  Cyber Operations Planner, 05 National Cyber Protection Team, US Army CPB, Fort Gordon, Georgia; Systems Architect, 153 Cyber Protection Team, US Army CPB, Fort Gordon, GA; Senior Information Services Technician, 2nd BN, 5th Special Forces Group, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Senior Signal Systems Technician, 377th Theater Sustainment Command, Belle Chasse, Louisiana; 3rd Brigade Combat Team (3BCT), 82nd Airborne Division; 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd BCT, 82nd Airborne Division; and Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 82nd Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division.

CW5 Ingle is a graduate of the Warrant Officer Basic, Advanced, Intermediate Level Education, and Senior Service Education Courses. His civilian education includes professional certifications in information technology and computer network defense.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Management from Trident University and a Master of Science in Cyber Security from Liberty University.

CW5 Ingle’s awards include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (4th award), Army Commendation Medal (2nd award), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (8th award), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Combat Action Badge and Senior Parachutist Badge as well as various other service medals and ribbons.
