First Sergeant (1SG) Audrey B. Richardson is a native of Virginia Beach, VA. She enlisted in the U.S. Army in September 2002 and attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, followed by Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, Georgia where she graduated as an Information Systems Operator Analyst 74B, which would later convert to 25B.
1SG Richardson has served in every leadership role and duty position from Squad Leader to First Sergeant. 1SG Richardson's stateside tours have included Fort Lewis, Washington, Fort Stewart, Georgia, and Fort Gordon, Georgia. Her overseas assignments include Camp Walker, Korea, Izmir, Turkey, Ft. Shafter, Hawaii and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. She has deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 03-04 and10-11, as well as, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 12-13.
1SG Richardson's military education includes the Basic Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course (Leadership Award recipient), Senior Leader Course(Commandant's List), Master Leader Course, Supervisory Development Course, Equal Opportunity Leader Course, Pregnancy Postpartum Program Leader Course, Unit Prevention Leader Course. She has held a Security + certification and is a graduate of Central Texas College with an Associate's Degree in General Studies.
1SG Richardson's awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (3 Bronze OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (4 Bronze OLC), Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 4), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon (Numeral 5).
1SG Richardson resides in Fort Gordon, Georgia with her family.
