Sgt. 1st Class Daniel Rosales

Sergeant First Class (SFC) Daniel Rosales is a native of Oxnard, California. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on August 12, 2001. He attended Boot Camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, California and Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) training for Traffic Management Specialist Course (3112) at Fort Eustis, Virginia and later earned a secondary MOS of Marksmanship Instructor (8531) at Camp Hansen, Okinawa Japan. SFC Rosales joined the United States Naval Reserves on October 13, 2005 as a member of the United States Naval Construction Battalions “Seabee,” earning the rate of Builder (BU) from the Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport, Mississippi. SFC Rosales later joined the United States Army on March 11, 2011 and attended Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sill for Electronic Warfare (29E) course.

SFC Rosales has served as an Electronic Warfare Sergeant, Team Leader, Platoon Sergeant and Brigade Cyber Electromagnetic Activities Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge. His CONUS assignment include Fort Eustis, Virginia; Camp Pendleton, California; Naval Construction Battalion Center Port Hueneme, California; Fort Sill, Oklahoma; Fort Campbell, Tennessee; Fort Bliss, Texas and Fort Eisenhower, Georgia. SFC Rosales’ OCONUS assignment have been Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Japan; Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii; Camp Casey/Hovey, South Korea. He has deployed to Afghanistan in 2012 and 2016.

SFC Rosales’ military education includes Warrior Leaders Course (Commandant’s List), Combat Life Savers Course, Joint Electronic Warfare Tactical Operations Course, Technical Transportation of Hazardous Material, Air Assault School, Advanced Leaders Course, Battle Staff, Anti-Terrorism Officer Basic Course, Senior Leaders Course, SHARP Foundation Course, Tactical Information Operations Course, Common Faculty Developers – Instructor Course and Common Faculty Developers – Developers Course.

SFC Rosales’ awards include Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal w/4 bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Good Conduct Medal w/4 knot device, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Navy Reserve Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal w/2 campaign stars, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon w/3 device, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon w/4 device, Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, NATO Medal w/1 bronze service star, two Certificates of Appreciation, Air Assault Badge, Basic Army Instructor Badge and Senior Army Instructor Badge. SFC Rosales has been presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Okinawa Prefectural Board of Education on March 31, 2003 and earned an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice at the Ventura County Community College.
