Sgt. 1st Class Kevin P. Martin

SFC Martin enlisted into the Army from Atlanta, GA on 27 February 2008 at the age of 29. He attended Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training in Fort Jackson, SC where he was awarded the military occupational specialty of 25V, Army Combat Documentation/Production Specialist. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications from the University of West Georgia. SFC Martin is currently finishing his Master’s Degree in Political Science from the America Military University.

SFC Martin was assigned to the 55th Combat Camera Company, Fort Meade, MD from Feb. 2009 to June 2012, where he served as a Documentation/Production Specialist. During this period, SFC Martin deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan where he served as a Combat Camera. From June 2012 to July 2015, SFC Martin was assigned to AFN Vicenza, Italy where he served Video NCOIC. From July 2015 to August 2018, SFC Martin was assigned to the Defense Information School where he served as VPD Instructor at Fort Meade, Maryland. From August 2018 to August 2022, SFC Martin was assigned to the 8th Theater Sustainment Command where he served as an Operations NCO at Fort Shafter, Hawaii.

SFC Martin’s military training includes Basic Combat Training, 25V Advanced Individual Training, Warrior Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Senior Leaders Course, Master Leaders Course, Combat Lifesavers Course, SHARP, Equal Opportunity, Master Resilience Course, Unit Prevention Leader, Lean Sigma Six – Green Belt, Suicide Prevention Assist, Visual Information Management Course, Common Faculty Developers – Instructor Course, OPSEC Level Planners Course, Instructor Training Course, and Combatives Level I.

SFC Martin’s awards and decorations include, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal (2OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3OLC), Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Superior Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal (5knots), National Defense Service Medal , Afghanistan Campaign Medal (1CS), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 4), Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service (Numeral 2), NATO Medal, Certificate of Achievement (3), Marksmanship Qualification Badge Expert (Rifle).
