SFC Burgess, Todd C. enlisted into the Regular Army from Sumter, South Carolina on 16 August 2007 at the age of 21. He attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning, Georgia and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, Georgia, where he was awarded the military occupational specialty of 25N, Nodal Network Systems Operator-Maintainer from Charlie Company, 369th SIG BN.
SFC Burgess has served in every leadership position from Team Leader to Platoon Sergeant and AIT Drill Sergeant. SFC Burgess’ has been stationed at Wiesbaden, Germany, Fort Bliss, TX, Camp Humphreys, South Korea, Fort Campbell, KY, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, and Fort Eisenhower, Georgia. He has deployed to Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom 09-11).
SFC Burgess’ military education includes the Basic Leaders Course, Advance Leaders Course, Senior Leaders Course, Mine Resistant Ambush Protection Vehicle Course, Modern Army Combatives Course, Technical Transportation of Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) Course, Master Driver Training Course, Ammo Handler Course, Air Assault Course, Sling Load Inspection Certification Course, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Drill Sergeant School, Master Resilience Trainer (MRT) Course, Security+, and Common Faculty Development – Instructor Course (CFD-IC).
