Hurricane Helene knocked out power as it swept past Fort Eisenhower. Teams from the Department of Public Works were out setting up emergency generators to get facilities back on. Shortly after Hurricane Helene devasted Fort Eisenhower and surrounding communities, the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center received potable water to keep essential emergency services running.
